Given that:
A=P+Prt
Solving for t.
Factor out P from the right side of the equation.
A=P(1+rt)
Divide both sides by P.
A/P= 1+rt
Subtract 1 from both sides
A/P-1=rt
Divide both sides by r.
(A/P) / r - 1/r= t
or
t= (A/P) / r - 1/r
t= A/Pr - 1/r
t= (A-P)/r

Answer: t= (A-P)/rP
