A patient receives 65 grams of a medicine. If the dose is increased by 20%, how many grams will the patient receive of the new dose?

Just turn 20% into a decimal and multiply it by 65 grams, then add that number to 65 grams.
So 20%=.2, therefore 65 multiplied by .2 equals 13. Add that number (13) to 65 and you get 78!

The patient will receive 78 grams of the new dose!
