What was the importance of the Dead Sea Scrolls and according to them who was to survive? (Site 1)

The dead sea scrolls were scrolls found that are written in Aramaic, Hebrew, and Greek and they were dated to be over 2000 years old, they're important because they include fragments of all the old testaments except for the Book of Esther. (I can't find anything about who were to survive.)
